Sant Pau in “Museums and the Lyceum: a shared history”.

On the occasion of the 175th anniversary of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the celebration of this event has been inaugurated with “Museums and the Liceu: a shared history”, an initiative in which 119 cultural facilities from all over Catalonia that have some historical connection with the emblematic theatre on Barcelona’s Rambla are collaborating.

Sant Pau is taking part by exhibiting in the Art Nouveau Site a letter from 1848 reflecting the rivalry between the Teatre de la Santa Creu and the Liceu for the hegemony of performances in the city. The 150 works included in the initiative, which will be on display until 31 July 2023 in the different museums and heritage spaces taking part, can be consulted on the Museums and Liceu website.
