The LIFE Victoria 2026–2027 Series at the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site

The Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site will once again be one of the main venues for LIFE Victoria, the Lied and chamber music festival organised by the Victoria de los Ángeles Foundation. This year, the festival celebrates its 15th edition with a programme centred on the theme of exile. Between October 2026 and May 2027, the Site will host a total of 16 concerts, further establishing itself as one of the festival’s flagship venues.

The new season commemorates the 150th anniversary of the birth of Pau Casals and Manuel de Falla, as well as the centenary of Spain’s Generation of ’27, and presents a musical and artistic journey that reflects on exile as a human and creative experience. The programme brings together some of the leading figures on the international Lied and chamber music scene, alongside emerging artists, in a season that combines artistic excellence, heritage and young talent.

Among the renowned artists performing at the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site are mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard, tenor Nicky Spence, soprano Adriana González, mezzo-soprano Nancy Fabiola Herrera, soprano Véronique Gens, countertenor Cameron Shahbazi, soprano Elisabet Strid and pianist Daniel Bertomeu, among others. The programme will also include concerts from the LIFE New Artists series, showcasing the next generation of performers.

In addition to the concerts, the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site will host several activities linked to the festival. As part of the celebrations marking the 625th anniversary of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, the Sant Rafael Pavilion will present the exhibition Plecs del temps by artist Javier Pérez, conceived in dialogue with the heritage setting and the season’s central theme.

Through this renewed collaboration, the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site reaffirms its commitment to promoting music, culture and heritage by offering a year-round programme that makes this unique venue a meeting point for leading artists, emerging voices and audiences.
