Exhibition ‘The plans of Lluís Domènech i Montaner in situ’

On the occasion of the Domènech i Montaner Year 2023, the Art Nouveau Site hosts from June 2 an exhibition that expands and completes the content of the visit with a selection of 14 plans of the construction of the old hospital, chosen among the most of 2,000 that are preserved in the Historical Archive of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau.
The sketches, decorative details, specifications, structural details and elevations in this sample, reproduced with high quality, make direct reference to a characteristic element of the space where they have been located, be it a stained glass window, a ceiling or a sculpture, so the visitor can see in situ how it ended up being executed.
The Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau is the only example of a modernist complex for which all the documentation relating to the construction has been preserved, even that which was not intended to be preserved.
