Art, technology and biomedicine at the Art Nouveau Site

09 de March de 202211:00h

Yoi Kawakubo’s exhibition ‘Six Days After Forever’ will be on view at the Operations Pavilion from 11 March. Organised by Quo Artis with the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona), with whom it is collaborating for the third time, and the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site.

In exhibition format, ‘Six Days After Forever’ takes the form of a film that combines the fictional part with a documentary section, consisting of interviews with researchers at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) and historical fragments on discoveries of nuclear waste. It explores questions related to the ethics of genetic modification, the human risks imposed by nuclear radiation and the ontology of human identity, while at the same time seeking to make visible the patriarchal conditioning present in traditional narratives.

Quo Artis is an international non-profit organisation that seeks to generate connections between art, science and technology, acting as a bridge between professionals in these fields, directing, among other initiatives, the production of commissioned projects and conducting research related to art and science.
