This Christmas, Els Llums de Sant Pau returns to the Recinte Modernista with a completely renewed edition inspired by one of the most universally beloved stories in literature: The Little Prince, by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

From 19 November 2026 to 10 January 2027, the Recinte will host the world premiere of the official immersive light experience of The Little Prince. Created under licence and faithful to the spirit of the original work, this experience will transform Sant Pau into a journey through its characters, planets and reflections.

Thousands of lights, large-scale projection mapping, music, scenography, interactive installations, actors and puppets will bring to life a trail designed for visitors of all ages to experience the story from different perspectives. The experience will also feature narration in Catalan, Spanish, English and French.

Among the main highlights of this edition are the lanterns, large handcrafted and hand-painted light sculptures, as well as a range of interactive activities. Visitors will receive a passport allowing them to explore the different planets in search of hidden clues and stamps, enjoy a short puppet show or create a digital sheep that will be projected onto one of Sant Pau’s façades.

Another major highlight will be the return of the ice rink to the Recinte Modernista, after several years of absence. Integrated into the universe of The Little Prince, the rink will offer visitors the chance to complete their Christmas experience by skating among stars and planets.

The experience will also include a themed food and drink area and a shop offering official The Little Prince merchandise.
