A guided tour of the modernist complex of the old Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau is the best way to deepen the knowledge of the students. Based on the explanations of our cultural mediators, this visit allows you to delve deeper into the history of the Hospital and the figure and work of Lluís Domènech i Montaner, addressing different aspects of the heritage and artistic importance of the Modernist Precinct.
The route of this visit is similar to that recommended for the free visit. We visit the exhibition space of Sant Salvador, the garden spaces, the historical recreation space of Sant Rafael, take a journey through the underground tunnels and access the most emblematic heritage spaces of the main building, the Pavilion of the ‘Administration. One way to get to know the Modernista Precinct is the free visit, guided by the teacher of the school group. The visit begins in the Pavilion of Sant Salvador, an exhibition space that concentrates the history of the Hospital, since the 15th century, and where tribute is paid to Lluís Domènech i Montaner, a key figure of modernism.
