ACTIVITIES
LIFE Victoria: Christoph Prégardien & Pauliina Tukiainen
Friday, 13 March de 2026 20:00h
No one explored the themes of night and dreams like the Romantics, and speaking of them is to speak of Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms, what can hardly be an exaggeration to call the trinity of the Lied. The legendary tenor Christoph Prégardien appears at LIFE Victoria together with Pauliina Tukiainen to explore this repertoire centred on night and dreams, in this season dedicated to the concept of the Combat of Dreams. In the first part he will perform Liederkreis Op. 24, which Schumann composed in 1840, the year he married Clara Wieck, followed by some of Brahms’ emblematic Lieder such as Dein blaues Auge or Von ewiger Liebe. The second part will focus on Schubert, offering a journey through some of his most beautiful Lieder and most passionate poetry, concluding with Nacht und Träume, one of the greatest romantic outbursts in the repertoire.
