The Art Nouveau Site renews Biosphere certification in Sustainable Tourism

At a ceremony attended by representatives of Barcelona City Council, the Chamber of Commerce, Barcelona Provincial Council, the Institute for Responsible Tourism and hundreds of organisations and companies from the sector, the Art Nouveau Site renewed its commitment to continuous improvement in accordance with the Biosphere Sustainable Lifestyle criteria, and received the renewal of its certification for the fourth time.

In 2017, the Institute for Responsible Tourism (ITR) awarded the Art Nouveau Site the Biosphere certification in Sustainable Tourism. According to this recognition, Sant Pau is a pioneering space that develops a responsible, environmentally sustainable, socially inclusive and accessible tourism model. This certification is based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals integrated in the 2030 Agenda, following the guidelines of the World Charter for Sustainable Tourism.
