ACTIVITIES
LIFE Victoria: Francesca Lauri & Ellen Pearson
Tuesday, 26 May de 2026 19:00h
Once again, continuing our collaboration with the Oxford International Song Festival, the principal International Partner of LIFE Victoria, we welcome a duo of young artists from this British festival. They are the mezzo-soprano Ellen Pearsons and the pianist Francesca Lauri, both participants in the Festival’s Young Artists Programme.
Together they present a programme that reflects on youth and on how to reconnect with our inner child, whom we one day lose. They offer a diverse overview of works by Gabriel Fauré, Erik Satie and Reynaldo Hahn, as well as Johannes Brahms, Franz Schubert and Richard Strauss, including also Liza Lehmann and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.
Since being selected by the Oxford Festival, Pearsons has performed leading roles at Opera Holland Park and has been chosen to join the Jette Parker Artist Programme at the Royal Opera House. Francesca Lauri, for her part, has been a finalist in the Kathleen Ferrier Competition and has taken part in the young talent programmes of the Leeds Festival and the Britten Pears Foundation.
