ACTIVITIES
LIFE Victoria: Julie Roset & Susan Mannoff
Wednesday, 13 May de 2026 20:00h
The soprano Julie Roset makes her debut at LIFE Victoria with this programme built around dreams of love, combining well-known composers such as Claude Debussy, Reynaldo Hahn and Francis Poulenc with others entirely unfamiliar to our audience, such as Charles Koechlin, Isabelle Aboulker and Manuel Rosenthal.
A clear statement of intent from this twenty-seven-year-old soprano from Avignon, who champions and promotes the mélodie, the song tradition of her homeland. One of the debut appearances by emerging names on today’s Lied and opera scene that is sure to make an impact on both audience and critics, she will be accompanied by Susan Manoff, one of the leading figures of French pianism, also making her debut at LIFE Victoria.
Roset won Operalia in 2023 and the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition in 2022. This past season she has already been conducted by William Christie, Raphaël Pichon and Esa-Pekka Salonen in venues such as the Aix-en-Provence Festival, the Opéra National de Paris and the Teatro Real in Madrid. An unmissable debut.
