Ilona Schneider & Diego Caicedo: Timeless melodies
The voice of Ilona Schneider and the guitar of Diego Caicedo come together to give a new take on melodies and songs by Caccini, Granados, Ravel, Ellington and Debussy, among others, bringing new insight and emotion, and a delicate, respectful sonority.
Schneider, a Girona-born German singer, studied at the National Conservatory in Versailles, graduating with honours. She has performed in various operas and sang the Song of the Sybil at the official ceremony on the Diada, the Catalan national holiday, in 2015.
Diego Caicedo, Colombian by birth and resident in Barcelona since he was 14, studied theory and composition with master musician Blas Emilio Atehortúa, and music studies at the Aula del Liceu in Barcelona. He currently forms part of several music formations on the Catalan scene.
